All applications may be obtained at City Hall during regular office hours, or may be obtained via www.cityofnewroads.net. Please contact City Hall for renewal rates on subsequent years of operations. Required items to have when applying are: State sales tax number Federal identification number Local sales tax number. (obtain from the Pointe Coupee Sales Tax Office) Health certificate if food items will be sold. (obtain health certificate from local health department) All licenses are required to be renewed on an annual basis by March 1st of each subsequent year of operations. Fees First time fee (new applicants): $50.00 Renewal fee: Based upon the type of business Click here for Occupational_License Tax Application Liquor Licenses Applicants must insert appropriate signed notice in local newspaper advertising intent to sell or serve liquor inside the city limits of New Roads. Applicant must bring this notice and application to Mayor and Council at regular council meeting for approval.
