City of New Roads Mayor Robert Myer announced the city is once again offering its summer employment program for local youth, giving them an opportunity to qualify for temporary employment to earn money and to use their skills and talents to benefit the city as a whole.
The application period for the 2017 program runs from May 26 to June 2. The actual employment period runs from June 12-July 21.
The Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program is open to city residents between the ages of 14 and 17. Proof of age and permanent residence within the city’s limits are required. This is the 14th year the city has sponsored the youth program. It is funded through a grant from the Irene W. & C.B. Pennington Foundation.
